Letter from the President
Greetings and happy 2026 from your new MLCA board president JoeDan Hite!
First, a word of thanks to our former president Chris Gibbons. Mr. Gibbons has been and continues to be a pillar of our community. His family’s countless hours of service over the past years have been an absolute blessing and inspiration to all of us whom live in and serve our community. From managing our neighborhood events, to even creating a haunted house at his own home for the enjoyment of us all, Chris has been an absolute rockstar. Here’s a shout out to you Chris! Thank you!
As I mentioned before, my name is JoeDan Hite. I live over near Meadowlark Park on W. 2nd Ave with my beautiful wife and two lovely children. My wife and I run a small business called HiteLand Property Services, a local handyman service. We moved to the neighborhood about 5 years ago. Shortly thereafter, I joined the MLCA board.
During my time on the board, I have invested a lot of my time and energy into improving on and creating more events for our neighborhood to enjoy. If you made it to our Halloween party this year you might know me as the pirate captain of the hayride. I’m also guilty of building the tree topper for our holiday tree lighting this past year. I have also worked to raise money for improvements to Meadowlark and other surrounding parks in the recent years.
As your new acting board president, I will continue to focus on building and maintaining a warm sense of community
togetherness for everyone. I will strive to help our neighborhood stand out as one of best around! I believe our community has a bright future and I truly look forward to serving you all!
